Reiki

Reiki is a very specific form of energy healing somewhat like accupuncture but without the use of needles. During Reiki hands are placed just off the body or lightly touching the body while focusing on specific areas of pain and or along the main chakra systems to realign body, mind, and soul. Reiki can also be done long-distance as a form of prayer. According to many versions of its origin, Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese seeker of spiritual truths, brought the Reiki method of healing into human awareness in 1922 after a deep spiritual experience. He is said to have begun teaching others after a serious earthquake hit Japan and he felt urged to spread his knowledge.

In a Reiki session, the practitioner is seeking to transmit Universal Life Energy to the client. The intention is to create deep relaxation, help speed healing, awaken intuition, redirect the senses, connect with one’s higher self and or spirit guides, reduce pain, and decrease other symptoms you may be experiencing. No matter one’s spiritual beliefs, the receiver only needs to be open to the possibility of the healing power of this ancient medicine.

Many hospitals in the US and Europe use Reiki to aid patients with the following and more:

  • heart disease

  • cancer

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • chronic pain

  • infertility

  • neurodegenerative disorders

  • autism

  • Crohn’s disease

  • fatigue syndromes

Thai/Shiatsu Bodywork

When you think of massage, you probably expect to be a passive participant — lying under a blanket as a massage therapist presses and kneads your tight muscles. However, Thai massage is a whole different experience. Asanas, or yoga poses, are also part of this Eastern massage tradition. Thai massage is traditionally performed on the floor — you lie on a padded mat as the therapist guides you through partner yoga poses and manipulates your body into stretches. Some traditional massage techniques, such as acupressure, compression and joint mobilization, are also used, but no lotions or oils are applied and you remain fully clothed for the session. This practice promotes positive energy circulation, so you feel balanced and rejuvenated. Thai yoga massage has numerous other benefits too, including reduction of pain and stress.

Thai massage works based on the belief that tightened muscles lead to the diminished flow of energy in your body. When energy can't flow freely, you become inflexible, suffer pain and feel stiff. Over time, this leads to shortened muscles and connective tissue that affects your posture, immunity and organ function — all of which speed up aging and disability.

The pressing techniques used in Thai massage are designed to increase blood circulation to facilitate the better flow of oxygen and nutrients to your tissues. It also helps your body naturally get rid of waste, such as metabolic byproducts and carbon dioxide, more efficiently. Adding stretching to the massage process helps relax the muscles further, so they regain natural flexibility and tone. You'll relieve chronic stiffness and experience improved mobility.

Thai massage is an alternative way for people to deal with chronic pain, and can be quite effective for temporary relief, according to a review of the research published in 2015 in Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice. In the six studies reviewed, people reported a 25 to 80 percent reduction of pain that lasted up to 15 weeks following a Thai Massage.

Intuitive Card Readings & Guidance

Intuitive oracle card readings are unique and highly individual. The focus can be on anything from gaining clarity around perplexing circumstances or hardship, receiving guidance and direction on next indicated steps, releasing blocked energy and past trauma, understanding the law of attraction, or helping a client activate their highest potential.

For some, intuitive readings can feel like talk therapy. For those who are highly sensitive to energies it can feel like having psychic surgery. The readings may provide in-depth information about a person’s soul journey and life path. Many times the reader will sense the presence of Source, their and the recipients spirit guides, guardian angels, and or ancestors who have passed. The reader serves as an open channel to the higher realm to intuitively convey the messages that lie within the cards pulled by the recipient.

Intuitive readings are different from psychic readings. Most intuitive readers do not read the future, but rather a person’s aura. Everyone is intuitive and everyone has the ability to read energy, but some people posses more pronounced strengths in using their intuitive gifts to access extra-sensory information.

A good intuitive reader will always point a client to their own intuitive powers and help them access their own inner-knowing. The reader undoubtedly knows the work it has and continues to take to access the depth of intuition to be able to offer readings. A successful intuitive reading should leave the client feeling empowered and more knowledgeable about their own gifts and abilities.
